At WIP, we offer ketamine therapy for individuals struggling with hard-to-treat mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Ketamine has shown remarkable efficacy when other treatments have fallen short. Administered under medical and psychiatric supervision, ketamine can be delivered in three primary forms: intravenous (IV) infusion intramuscular (IM) injection and nasal inhalation. We have chosen not to provide oral forms of ketamine due to the highly variable absorption of oral drugs in the gastrointestinal system. This high variability leads to inconsistent responses.
Ketamine has primarily been used for “treatment-resistant depression” and can be a powerful option for individuals who have not responded to traditional oral medications, TMS or ECT. It can also be effective for conditions such as bipolar depression, trauma and chronic anxiety. However, like any medical treatment, there are risks involved, including dissociation, nausea, elevated blood pressure, or short-term confusion.
Our team takes psychiatric care and safety seriously, which is why ketamine therapy is always done under the close supervision of our psychiatric and medical professionals. At WIP, we follow rigorous safety protocols: pre-treatment psychiatric and medical screenings, monitoring during the session, and a post-treatment recovery period to ensure a safe and effective experience. WIP’s thorough approach guarantees that our patients receive the highest level of care in a controlled and supportive environment with mental health specialists always available.
