Dr. Sonya Bakshi: General Adult and Addiction Psychiatrist
Dr. Sonya Bakshi attended Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her adult general psychiatry residency at NYU School of Medicine. She served as Chief Resident at NYU and stayed on to complete an addiction psychiatry fellowship. Dr. Bakshi is dedicated to helping patients cope with life stresses and achieve well-being. She practices compassionate, empathic, and patient-centered care, tailoring each patient’s treatment to their own unique needs. Dr. Bakshi employs a holistic approach to healing the mind and body and incorporates mindfulness and meditation into her practice. She treats a broad spectrum of conditions, including depression, anxiety, substance use, ADHD, trauma, and bipolar disorder. Dr. Bakshi focuses on empowering each patient to build resilience and hope to create a better tomorrow.
