Dr. Ann E. Norwood: Adult Psychiatry
Dr. Ann E. Norwood is a distinguished psychiatrist with a remarkable career spanning both military service and academia. A graduate of Vassar College and the Uniformed Services University, she completed her residency in General Psychiatry at the Letterman Army Medical Center. Dr. Norwood’s commitment to excellence is evident through her Diplomate status with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
With 26 years of military service, including a tour at Ft. Hood, TX, Dr. Norwood’s contributions extend beyond clinical practice. Her expertise in trauma, disaster research, and education led her to the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress and subsequent roles in public health crisis communication.
In 2023, Dr. Norwood brought her wealth of experience to Washington Interventional Psychiatry.
